Diffraction tomography some applications and extension to 3-D ultrasound imaging

Medical Imaging Techniques

Part of the Lecture Notes in Mathematics book series (LNM,volume 1497)

Abstract

Diffraction tomography is investigated in our laboratory since the beginning of the eighties. We first present an overview of the results obtained at microwave and ultrasound frequencies. Next, since the authors are mainly involved in acoustical imaging, we emphasize the extension of this technique to 3D imaging using ultrasound waves.
