Abstract
To help the novice practitioners and cope with the complexity of the EMG test procedure elaboration, we developped MYOSYS, an hierarchical planning environment. Building an EMG knowledge base consists in formalizing and structuring medical concepts and actions. The knowledge modeling to be done concerns tasks i.e. possible problems, methods corresponding to elementary part of resolution and medical entities. All are represented under object form structured in separate class hierarchies and are accessible for the user. At each step of the resolution process an adequate placement of the instance in the corresponding class hierarchy has to by found, depending on the input/output entities of the task and on its strategy. The identification of this placement can be supported by classification and plan recognition techniques.
