Abstract

The research was conducted to identify the factors influencing the intention of students to choose to work in manufacturing businesses in the context of integration. The results were analyzed from survey data collected from 710 students representing 10 fields of study from the first to fourth year in Hanoi. The research utilized SPSS 20.0 and Amos 20.0 software for data analysis, including descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and the structural equation modeling (SEM) to develop a linear structural model. The results revealed six factors influencing the decision to work in manufacturing businesses, including working conditions of the organization, person-organization fit, family and friends, higher education, recruitment information, and job challenges. The findings of this study can serve as a basis for proposing solutions to connect the demand and supply, bridging the gap between students and manufacturing businesses in search of human resources.
