Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel wurde der regionale Kontext hervorgehoben; das Kapitel positionierte Hongqiao im weiteren Kontext der westlichen Peripherien von Shanghai. Hongqiao steht in harter Konkurrenz zur Nachbarstadt Kunshan sowie anderen angrenzenden Bezirken im Westen von Shanghai. Auf einer allgemeineren Ebene stellte das Kapitel fest, dass das Scheitern, eine robustere regionale Architektur zu schaffen, auf städtischen Wettbewerb zurückzuführen ist, der zu einer Zurückhaltung bei der Zusammenarbeit auf regionaler Ebene im YRD führt.
