Abstract
This chapter considers the problem of restoration of blurred images. The image restoration and deblurring problem arises in biomedical, geophysical, astronomical, high-definition television, remote sensing, and other applications. This problem is formulated as the solution of the corresponding ill-posed inverse problem, which can be effectively solved by applying the family of focusing stabilizers. The solution of the joint image deblurring problem is illustrated by using the joint minimum entropy approach. We consider, as an example, the problem of reconstructing blurred images of the brain produced by the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) method.
