Abstract
We will talk about magnetic phenomena employed in biosensing systems in this chapter (see below figure). Metals like Fe, Co, or Ni as well as metal oxides make up magnetic materials. They frequently serve as methods of sample separation and pre-treatment or as detection probes for enhancing measured signals because they offer a variety of benefits, including a larger surface area, precise controllability through a magnetic field, and functional alterations through surface modifications. Additionally, magnetic particles have been used in several bioassays based on magnetic phenomena. Recent magnetic nanoparticle-based assays will be divided into four categories in this section: giant magnetoresistance (GMR), magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ), magnetic particle spectroscopy (MPS), and NMR-based test.
