Abstract

Robots are the development direction for intelligent agriculture. The current robotics technology has penetrated all areas and aspects of agricultural production, especially in areas that require a large number of artificial fields. In the field of fruit production, the degree of mechanization of soil cultivation, fruit tree management, plant protection, irrigation, and harvesting is increasing. Apple tree pruning is completed by manual labor. In recent years, breakthroughs have been made in the field of agricultural robots in object capture, machine design, and machine kinematics analysis. This chapter reviews the autonomous technology progress in apple pruning.
