Abstract
Total hip arthroplasty is one of the most successful surgeries in orthopedic field. Now various designs of hip prosthesis with different biomechanics are available in the market. The right choice of implant is crucial to achieve good outcomes in hip arthroplasty. In this chapter, we will discuss the different designs along with the classification of femoral stems and their biomechanical characteristics.
