Abstract
Intraosseous hemangioma (IH) is a benign vascular tumor with proliferation of capillary or cavernous type of vessels affecting bone. The lesion can involve two or more noncontiguous bones, so-called “hemangiomatosis.” Gorham-stout disease, vanishing or phantom bone disease, is a rare bone disorder characterized by resorption (osteolysis) and replacement of bone with angiomas and/or fibrosis due to an increased number of osteoclasts along with a proliferation of distended thin-walled vascular channels.
