Abstract

An Urban Systems Study has been in place since the 1980s, encompassing specific domains of the public sector which are responsible for piecing together the policies to transform Singapore into a liveable and sustainable city. The work, housed in The Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) investigated the intricate trials in chasing the goal of an engaged and a happy senior population who goes on to contribute to the Singapore society and beyond (The Centre for Liveable Cities [CLC] was established in June 2008 by the Ministry of National Development [MND]).
