Abstract
Part 2, titled “Digital Grid,” begins with this chapter, which explores how we can overcome the issues of power systems. It starts by discussing the problems we face when we try to use a lot of renewable energy. The chapter asks if making the power grid stronger could solve these problems. It helps readers understand the difference between energy (kWh) and power (kW) and emphasizes how important it is to keep the grid stable. The chapter considers if distributed control, where each area handles its own power, might be the answer. It also talks about the great benefits of asynchronous interconnection, which lets different parts of the grid work at their own pace. The chapter ends by offering ways to overcome the challenges of power systems, giving us hope for the future of energy.
