Abstract

The digital economy is transforming the people are working and living. As it continues to evolve, it will have a profound impact to commercial and investor-state decisions by both government and the private sector. Therefore, and no different to any other commercial or investment transaction(s), disputes can arise. One of the most widely accepted dispute resolution tools available today is international arbitration. This chapter will discuss international arbitration, and the role of data and cybersecurity. More importantly as artificial intelligence, quantum technology and critical technologies become more sophisticated, data captured by these technologies could be increasingly exposed to cybersecurity intrusions.
