ABSTRACT
The colloidal particles’ separation is the primary concern when it comes to the physical–chemical treatment of wastewater. The treatment is based on the dimensions of particles present in the wastewater. The treatment of sludge, ammonia strippers-absorbers, flocculation, coagulation, electro-flotation, and neutralization are some of the commonly used methods for the physical–chemical treatment of wastewater. The remediation of wastewater is gaining more and more importance due to several reasons like constantly declining resources of water, a rise in commercial, household, and agricultural water usage, and, as a result, the incurring cost of disposal of wastewater along with strict discharge regulations which have lowered the allowed pollutant level in waste streams. Hence, the possible efforts must target minimizing water use and remediating wastewater to make it worthy for reuse or/and to make it safe enough to discharge into the environment.
