Abstract

This chapter will provide an overview of the management of large or total iris defects using prosthetic iris devices. It will cover the indications for artificial iris implantation, the types, and manufacturers of iris prostheses, how to select an appropriate device for a given situation, surgical technique, and the complications of artificial iris implantation.
