Abstract
Pancreatic cancer is the eighth most common cancer and fifth most common cause of cancer-related death in Korea. Pancreatic cancer has a poor prognosis. The 5-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer was only 12.6% in Korea (males 11.9%, female 13.2%) in the period 2014–2018 years. Although early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is very important for the prognosis of patients, diagnosis is difficult because there are no symptoms in the early stages of pancreatic cancer. In this chapter, the clinical symptoms, diagnosis, and staging of pancreatic cancer are discussed.
