Abstract

In the treatment of gastric cancer, standard surgery forms the basis of treatment. Endoscopic resection can be performed for early gastric cancer and chemotherapy and supportive care can be used for stage IV patients with distant metastases, as recommended by the Korean [1] and Japanese [2] guidelines established in 2018. Table 1 shows the stages, and Table 2 summarizes the treatment plans according to the clinical and pathological stages. Figures 1 and 2 illustrate the treatment algorithm.
