Abstract

In order to study the primary frequency regulation capacity of the unit within the normal operation load range, a primary frequency regulation dynamic model is established according to the basic principle of primary frequency modulation (FM). Taking a 1000 MW unit as an example, the constant pressure operation conditions of steam make-up valve participating in FM within 40%–100% load range are analyzed. The steam make-up valve participates in the sliding pressure operation condition of FM and the FM capacity of the unit under the condition that the steam make-up valve does not participate in FM. The results show that the input of overload valve has certain significance for the unit to quickly respond to the demand of primary FM. For the unit without overload valve, under the constant sliding constant mode operation, the opening value of the regulating valve at the starting point of sliding pressure operation has an impact on whether the unit can meet the demand of primary FM.
