Abstract
With the rapid development of society and the rapid development of high-tech, modern pace drives people to follow the pace of the times. As a new discipline integrating art, landscape, design, psychology, architecture, human engineering, and other disciplines, environmental design major has to improve the teaching level and formulate the teaching mode and educational objectives to meet the social needs. This paper starts with the cognition of the environmental art design specialty of the project teaching method. Data mining provides a new intelligent way for people to understand data. Based on the brief introduction of the concept, mining process, and common methods of data mining technology, this paper discusses the application of decision tree algorithm in the data resources of environmental art design specialty in Colleges and universities, and the positive signs in the practice teaching of environmental design specialty. Furthermore, the specific practical steps of the application of the project teaching method in environmental art design specialty are proposed.
