Abstract

Microstrip discontinuities are the most fundamental component of MMIC. The study about the accurate modeling of Microstrip discontinuities using different numerical approaches is the most important topics. The electromagnetic waves propagating along microstrip lines with step discontinuities are analyzed using the FDTD method. The results are used in model equations for inhomogeneous transmission lines to extract the equivalent line parameters.
