Abstract

For the surveillance, management, information release, summarization, and evaluation of public health emergencies, the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, Regulations on Emergency Response to Public Health Emergencies, the National Emergency Plan for Public Health Emergencies, the Measures for the Management of Information Reporting for the Surveillance of Public Health Emergencies and Infectious Diseases, and the Measures for Information Release on Epidemics of Legal Infectious Diseases and Sudden Public Health Events have been issued in China. According to the Regulations on Emergency Response to Public Health Emergencies, provinces, municipalities directly under the Central Government and autonomous regions are responsible to formulate emergency response plans in their respective administrative regions in light of local actual conditions.
