Abstract
The mechanism of chip-ejection interference is expounded. The key factors of chip-ejection interference are analyzed through the establishment of tool cutting power model. The advantages and disadvantages of Advantage FEM and Abaqus in chip-ejection interference simulation are compared and analyzed. Using Abaqus to perform finite element simulation on the chip-ejection interference phenomenon when cutting the copper with circular edge cutter. And according to the empirical formula of the tool-chip friction coefficient scrap obtained by the cutting experiment of the copper, the tool-chip friction coefficient which is required for the circular edge tool cutting copper simulation by Abaqus is determined. The simulation results show that as the rake angle of the tool increases and the number of chip pockets increases, the degree of chip-ejection interference will become smaller.
