Abstract
The basic structures of esophageal squamous cell epithelia and gastric or intestinal epithelia vary greatly. The stomachs and intestines consist of glandular epithelia, with cells aligned in one row forming papillary and tubular structures (Fig. 1.1). Blood vessels run in the interstitial spaces.
