Abstract

The servitization in manufacturing companies has been widely discussed for years under the general transition from goods to services in the actual economy especially after the beginning of the 21st century. There has been limited empirical evidence to explore the extent to which it is being adopted in practice (Neely in Oper Manage Res 1:103–118, 2008).
