Abstract
In this chapter, we continue to examine the ways in which the food system can be remade into a more sustainable one which reinvigorates the connections between land, economy, food, people, community and health. Remaking the food system is the underpinning premise of scholarly works set in the American context (Hinrichs in Remaking the North American food system—strategies for sustainability. University of Nebraska Press, Nebraska, 2007) that frames people as crafters, inventors and experimenters.
