Abstract

This chapter is about the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, serving as an introduction to help understand the breast cancer cases to be presented in the future. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, accounting for a significant proportion of cancer deaths among women in their 20s to 50s. This chapter begins with a brief introduction to the anatomy of a normal breast and the necessary processes for diagnosing breast cancer, such as medical history taking, symptom and physical examination, and according to this, breast imaging tests (mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, etc.) and pathological tissue examination. It also explains how to interpret the results.
