Abstract
The space of posterior fossa was the largest and deepest one of three cranial fossae, which accounted for one-eighth of the intracranial region. This area extended into tentorial incisura via supratentorial space while reaching into foramen magnum through the spinal canal. The upper portion was separated from supratentorial space by the tentorium cerebelli.
