Abstract

The Republic of Yemen, commonly known as Yemen, is located in southwestern Asia and southwestern Arabian Peninsula. Saudi Arabia borders the country to the north, Oman to the east, the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden to the south, and Eritrea and Djibouti across the Red Sea to the west. Yemen is divided into 21 governorates and one municipality, namely the provinces of Aden, ‘Amran, Abyan, Ad Dali, Al Bayda’, Al Hudaydah, Al Jawf, Al Mahrah, Al Mahwit, Dhamār, Hadramawt, Hajjah, Ibb, Lahij, Ma'rib, Raymah, Sa'dah, Sān'a’, Shabwah, Ta'izz, and Suqutra, and one city of Sān’a’.
