Abstract

The Federal Republic of Somalia, commonly known as Somalia, is located in the easternmost part of the African continent on the Somali Peninsula. It has the longest coastline in Africa, bordering the Gulf of Aden to the north and the Indian Ocean to the east. Kenya borders the country in the southwest, Ethiopia in the west, and Djibouti in the northwest. The administrative division of Somalia consists of 17 regions, namely Awdal, North-West, Togdheer, Sanaag, Sool, Bari, Nugaal, Mudug, Galguduud, Hiraan, Shabeellaha Dhexe, Bakool, Bay, Shabeellaha Hoose, Gedo, Jubbada Dhexe, and Jubbada Hoose.
