Abstract
The subject of interference management and power control in a two-tier network is examined in this chapter. A distributed power control strategy is presented to eliminate co-tier interference in electric power communication (EPC) networks and to ensure the quality of service (QoS) of primary network users (PUEs). Under the condition of interference threshold, a virtual electricity price game with interference compensation is used to update the power of gateway in smart grid. In addition, in order to protect the primary network link, we propose an improved distributed power control strategy. Numerical examples show that this method can effectively reduce the co-tier layer interference between gateways, achieve the target signal to interference noise ratio of PUE, and improve the network performance.
