Abstract

Malignant transformation of T lymphocytes can result in T cell leukemia or T cell lymphoma. Leukemias originate from immature T cells bone marrow shows more than 25% blasts. T cell lymphomas can be divided into those of precursor T cells (i.e., precursor T lymphoblastic lymphoma) and those developing from more mature T cells, termed peripheral T cell lymphomas (PTCL). T cell malignancies are aggressive malignancies with poor prognosis.
