Principles of Social Research Methodology

Abstract

The objective of this chapter is to give a clear idea to the research students on the preparation and development of data collection instruments for conducting social research. There are numerous debates about the types of data collection instruments in social research. I have written off all of these instruments into main three categories, such as interview schedule, guideline, and checklist. First, this chapter provides the general rules for the preparation and development of these instruments and then describes the preparatory stages. Secondly, it provides a template of each type of instrument.
