Abstract

A 22-year-old college student presented with bilateral vision loss for 6 months. Her vision acuity decreased to nadir in a week. She denied eye pain at the onset and dysfunction of limbs. There was no fever or flu prior to the vision loss. The local hospital diagnosed her with optic neuritis and therefore intravenous methylprednisolone 1 g/day for 3 days was given, but without vision improvement. She was referred to neuro-ophthalmologist for further evaluation.
