Toxic Optic Neuropathy

Abstract

A 32-year-old male ambulance driver complained burry vision in both eyes for 2 weeks. He denied headache and eye pain. He was diagnosed with tuberculous pleuritic and treatment medications including ethambutol were given for 3 months. The dosage of ethambutol was 750 mg bid, together with regular dosage of rifampin and isoniazid. He also complained numbness of limbs when decreased vision happened. His physician referred him for neuro-ophthalmological evaluation.
