Abstract

Retinal arteriolar microaneurysm is an acquired aneurysmal dilation of an arteriole in round or fusiform shape, which may be single or multiple, usually within its first three orders of the retinal arterial system. A sudden rupture of the macroaneurysm may present with pre-retinal, intraretinal, or subretinal hemorrhage, which may lead to vision loss (Figs. 14.1 and 14.2).
