Abstract
Coats’ disease, also known as external exudative retinopathy (Figs. 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 and 10.4), is commonly seen in children and adolescents with a high prevalence in males. The disorder is unilateral in 80–95% cases and is classified as macular telangiectasia type 1 (Mac Tel 1) in adulthood.
