Head and Neck Surgery : Surgical Landmark and Dissection Guide

Abstract

Oral cavity carcinoma is one of the critical malignancies of head and neck. The majority of patients present with ulceration or mass. The treatment is challenging as numerous factors need to be meticulously considered in order to gain best treatment outcomes. In advanced disease, the soft-tissue and bony reconstruction needs to be performed at the initial surgery to allow restoration of functions. This chapter highlights the types of oral cancer together with the surgical procedures and treatment for the cancer.
