Abstract

Access control is a basic function of data security in the Harbor. It defines which users can access resources in which projects. Through authentication and authorization, the access control policy ensures that users’ identities are real and users have the corresponding permissions to access Harbor resources. In most production environments, access control is an issue of concern during operation and maintenance. This chapter explains the role-based access control (RBAC) mechanism of Harbor, including the principles of authentication and authorization, the configuration of authentication modes, the authorization of various roles and FAQs.
