Abstract
To clarify the differences between a subsidiary and a branch, it is first necessary to clarify that a subsidiary and a branch are not under the same category. A subsidiary corresponds to the parent company, and a branch corresponds to the head office (under the company law, it is directly referred to as the “company”). In order to further distinguish between the two terms, let’s first understand the basic concept of a branch.
