Abstract
In recent years, the Government of Shandong Province has thoroughly implemented a series of arrangements and requirements made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council for open government work, adhered to the principle of “taking openness as the norm and non-openness as the exception”, carried out active exploration and innovation, highlighted key points and took proactive measures, thereby significantly raising the level of standardization of openness of government affairs and gradually improving the pattern of openness with connectivity and mutual support between information release, policy interpretation, and response to public concerns. This report introduces open government work in Shandong Province from the following four perspectives: disclosure of government information upon application, interaction between the government and the public, practice of openness of grassroots government affairs and reflections on open government work.
