q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Sets

Abstract

The process carried out for the selection of suppliers has been considered a critical activity within companies to maintain high competitiveness in the market. Likewise, a variety of factors that belong to the supply chain must be considered. In this way, to select a good supplier has become more complex related to different criteria involved. In this sense, this work presents a numerical case for the selection of providers, which validates the use of the Combinatorial Distance-Based Assessment (CODAS) method with fuzzy information of q-line orthopair in a multi-criteria environment. Similarly, the CODAS method achieves greater precision in the selection process, in addition, by employing fuzzy sets for decision-making in situations with uncertainty and multiple criteria. In this mode, the hybridization of the CODAS method and q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-ROFS) represent a proficient tool to deal with supplier appraisal.
