Abstract
In this chapter I will focus on the concepts of ‘capital’ and ‘power’. For this purpose, the conceptualization of capital in Bourdieu’s writings and power in Foucault’s discussions will be reviewed. To be able to see what classroom mothers are giving to and gaining from the school system the issue will be discussed around the concepts such as ‘human capital’, ‘gendered habitus’, ‘social and cultural capital’, and ‘social class of women’.
