Abstract

With the progress of science and technology, we have unconsciously entered the age of information and digitalization, and various disciplines of dentistry including prosthodontics have also achieved unprecedented rapid development. Having newly representative dental materials like high-translucent zirconia, PEEK, and PEKK successfully applied in dental clinical practice, we have been able to achieve the real digitalization from design, tooth preparation, to prosthesis manufacturing and make virtual design and solid fabrication almost the same. All kinds of digital technology have liberated the physical body and are liberating the mentality; therefore, we are entering a more efficient digital age!
