Abstract
This chapter begins by providing a definition of ‘vlogging’, and explaining how this mode of production is enabled by digital technologies and platforms. This chapter describes the appeal of vlogging for vloggers and brands; discusses three (overlapping) types of personalities that can be encountered in vlogging and details the key components of a good vlog. This is followed by an overview of the skills that a good vlogger requires.
