Abstract
By 2020, China has built a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and won the battle against poverty. Poor people are guaranteed food, clothing, compulsory education, basic medical care, and safe housing, all poor countries leave poverty behind, and regional poverty is eliminated on the whole. The absolute poverty that has plagued the Chinese nation for thousands of years is completely eliminated. However, from the practice of developed countries and the history and reality of China in poverty reduction, the realization of the poverty alleviation goal by 2020 does not mean the end of China’s poverty, as absolute poverty has been shaken off, but relative poverty will exist for a long time.
