Abstract
In general, the hull coating of a ship refers to the hull protection of a ship using paints applied on the hull surface during new building time. It is required to re-apply after the paint life is over or paint damage within the paint life. This process is repeated during the service/operational life of a ship. During new building time, the entire hull area is involved regarding blasting and painting, no spot blasting and touch up coat, but in case of repairing, part or entire hull area is involved for blasting followed by touch-up coat(s) and full coat(s). In this Chapter, the focus will be on the repairing of hull coating only from various viewpoints.
