Abstract

Renewable energy for the exploitation of power is the need of the hour as the load demand is sharply increasing day by day and it is expected that energy demand will be increased up to 50% by 2030. So it’s the best time to shift toward renewable energy sources for power generation rather than conventional sources of energy. Solar PV is accepted globally and is taking a lead in the market. Solar PV energy is harnessed with solar panels and the efficiency of PV panels depends upon numerous factors such as irradiance, temperature, dust particles, residue particle, and bird poaching which can be an obstacle for high-efficiency accumulation of foreign particles like dust, bird poaching snow, and many other. To achieve maximum efficiency, solar PV panels must be clean and free from dust particles. This paper presents a design of a cleaning robot that detects the obstructions and cleans the dust on the photovoltaic surface. This purpose is accomplished by a hardware model, and circuit simulation is done using Proteus Software and the results are validated with the in MATLAB 2020.
