Abstract
Language textbooks are the essential learning resource for language learning. The same may be said of cultural teaching. Some language texts make explicit reference to cultural aspects (e.g., historical events and personalities) whereas some others do so only implicitly. This chapter analyzes the Chinese Language textbooks in use in Singapore primary schools, at the time of this writing, by highlighting the cultural contents, expressed or hidden in the texts. It is believed that this will help in the teachers in teaching Chinese culture.
