Abstract
This chapter ties the ancient Aristotelian rhetorical appeals with modern systems theory, specifically David Kantor’s theory of structural dynamics. We examine a neuroscientific basis for structural dynamics, and how this might be a game-changing framework for communicators to use. We also touch on neuromania and the importance of communicators being shrewd and discerning consumers of scientific information.
