Abstract

Detailed description of major gastrointestinal (GI) resection specimens, where surgery was performed due to neoplastic pathology. Principle of grossing, sections needed, and post-NACT assessment and staging have been described. Both conventional and alternative approaches have been described where appropriate. Clear schematic diagrams have been included for reader’s understanding. Learning tips have been summarized and a self-assessment zone has been added.
