Abstract
Applications and services are widely and easily accessible to anyone at any time, creating the need for the availability of these services and applications crucial. Any cloud service or application can be down due to many reasons and a significant factor for such an outage is heavy traffic. This makes the testing phase and the resource requirement analysis of the applications and services very important for its reliable operation post deployment under heavy load. Testing by deploying applications using actual resources may not be very effective and cost efficient. Testing conditions like the real-world scenarios are necessary for the analysis of the application’s performance under heavy traffic. This creates a need for a simulated environment where no actual execution of processes is required and hence minimize resource utilization, time, and money. This paper addresses such a simulation tool where a user can simulate applications with multiple processes and analyze the actual resource utilization of these applications once deployed in real life. The user can configure both the data center as well as the applications according to their needs and run a simulation which can produce resource requirement data for the application to run under any specified load and a graphical representation for further analysis of the generated data.
